Best Seeds ("Best Seeds," "we," "us," or "our") operates yourbestseeds.org and the Best Seeds cohort programs. Questions about this policy? Email privacy@yourbestseeds.org.

This policy covers information collected through our website and related forms, and the information students, parents, guardians, and school counselors share with us in connection with our cohort programs.

Best Seeds is intended for students age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information to us, contact privacy@yourbestseeds.org and we will delete it.

• Interest form: student first and last name, email, school, grade level, optional school counselor name and email, optional parent or guardian name, email, and phone, optional link to a resume, and whether you opted into our newsletter.
• Parent inquiry form: name, email, and the message you send us.
• Basic technical data: your IP address, device and browser type, and pages you view, collected through standard hosting logs.

• Review interest submissions and applications to our cohorts.
• Coordinate program logistics with students, parents or guardians, and school counselors.
• Send newsletter emails to people who opted in.
• Respond to questions and requests.
• Improve the site and our programs.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we have about you. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@yourbestseeds.org.

Access to submitted information is limited to Best Seeds staff and mentors who need it to run the program. We rely on trusted service providers for website hosting, database and authentication, and email delivery. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell personal information.

Every mentor clears a formal background check before working with students. Program sessions are structured and supervised.

We keep interest and application information while your submission is active and for a reasonable period afterward so we can follow up about future cohorts. We delete information sooner on request.

If you opt into the newsletter, every email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from newsletter mail but does not delete your interest submission — email privacy@yourbestseeds.org to request deletion.

We only use cookies and similar technologies needed to run the site. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site ad tracking.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No system is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

When we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for a reasonable period.
